Itinerary

  1. DAY 1 WELCOME TO TORONTO.

    Welcome to Canada. On arrival at Toronto International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your luxury hotel. This property is a regal place to stay – the architecture is grand, the atmosphere is glorious and the clientele glamorous. At 18:00, join your Travelling Concierge for a Welcome Dinner with wine.

  2. DAY 2 TORONTO SIGHTSEEING AND NIAGARA FALLS UP CLOSE.

    Spend the morning exploring and rise to the top of the CN Tower for panoramic views. Travel up stately University Avenue to see Ontario's Parliament buildings, Queen's Park and the Royal Ontario Museum. Then discover one of the world's great natural wonders, Niagara Falls, as you enjoy the close views on a narrated cruise to the base of the falls, before exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake. Back in Toronto, your evening is at leisure.

  3. DAY 3 KINGSTON AND THE CANADIAN CAPITAL OF OTTAWA.

    Travel along the shores of Lake Ontario for an orientation tour of Canada’s first capital, Kingston. See the historic buildings, churches, picturesque homes and 19th century fortifications. Continue to the modern capital of Ottawa where you'll settle into your landmark hotel, reminiscent of a French château, located next to the green-peaked roofs of the Parliament buildings. In the evening, you are invited to a Highlight Dinner with wine at the Courtyard Restaurant. With its historic location and modern charm, this culinary experience will surely delight your taste buds.

  4. DAY 4 ALL ABOUT OTTAWA.

    (Relaxed Start) Enjoy a truly unique experience - meet a retired member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Hear fascinating tales of what it's like to wear the famous red serge uniform. Immerse yourself in an orientation of Ottawa. View the entrance to the famous Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historic construction covering 125 miles (202 km) from Ottawa to Lake Ontario. Visit the impressive Gothic Parliament Buildings before spending the rest of the day at leisure.

  5. DAY 5 THE OLD WALLED CITY OF QUEBEC.

    Journey along the St Lawrence River to Quebec City, North America's first permanent French settlement and the only walled city in Canada. Enjoy an exclusive guided tour of your iconic, historic hotel with a Local Expert. Learn how the history of the château and the city’s inhabitants have been interwoven for so long, and gain access to areas not accessible to the general public.

  6. DAY 6 QUINTESSENTIAL QUEBEC.

    (Relaxed Start) Discover Quebec City with your Local Expert. See the Citadel of Quebec, Latin Quarter, National Assembly and Place-Royale. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure in this romantic city. In the evening, view the thundering Montmorency Falls on a short orientation. You will then be taken on the Ile d'Orleans for a special evening at Le Moulin de Saint Laurent, a stone watermill dating back to the early 18th century. Chef Martin will prepare a Highlight Dinner with wine while musicians entertain you with a diversified musical repertoire.

  7. DAY 7 HISTORIC MONTREAL.

    On a locally guided tour, admire Montreal's diversity. See historic Old Montreal with its cobblestone streets and the Old Port. Visit the dramatic Notre-Dame Basilica with its glorious stained glass windows and Saint Joseph's Oratory, home to one of the world's greatest pipe organs. Learn all about the organ itself and enjoy a short, exclusive selection of different music styles. Spend the evening at Gibbys, a restaurant full of old-world charm, housed in a 200-year-old building in Old Montreal. Savour French-inspired cuisine as you bid 'au revoir' to your Travelling Concierge and new friends with this palate-pleasing Farewell Celebration Dinner with wine.

  8. DAY 8 DEPART MONTREAL.

    For guests not continuing on the cruise, the tour ends in the morning and a departure transfer to Montreal International Airport is provided. Those embarking on the Holland America Line cruise for a voyage along the St Lawrence River and New England coast will enjoy a morning at leisure before boarding in the afternoon.
