Private Volcano, Temple, and Terraces Tour

Discover the culture, countryside, and stunning scenery of Bali. Start the day with a performance of the famous Barong and Keris Dance. This traditional Balinese dance narrates the fight between good and evil and is a classic example of the Balinese way of blending myth and history into one reality. Drive to Tampak Siring to visit the unique temple of Gunung Kawi. Set at the bottom of a lush green river valley, these 11th-Century temples feature 10 rock-cut shrines, called candi, carved into the cliff face. The awe-inspiring shrines combine ancient Hindu and Buddhist temple attributes. Walk down the many stairs to the temple taking in the views of the terraced rice fields along the way.

After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver and tour guide. Drive to the outskirts of Ubud to meet your local farmer trekking guide for this soft trekking through his village, stunning surrounding nature, and his rice fields. He will proudly show and explain their temples, subak system (this is the age old water sharing system that Balinese farmers use), simple village life, and his beautiful rice fields. The name Nusa Dua itself literally translated means 'Two Islands' which refers to the two small raised headlands or islands found just off the coast of the peninsula. On one of the islands stands a Hindu shrine (Pura) called Nusa Dharma which was built in 1948 by Tan Sie Yong of Chinese descent.

Back at the cooking class, you will learn how to recreate age-old traditional dishes using the freshest seasonal vegetables. You will learn how to blend the different spices and how to use the various utensils. The class ends with a delicious lunch where you get to enjoy your own lavish homemade Balinese feast.

Private Uluwatu, Kecak Dance, and Seafood Dinner Tour

Experience an evening of Kecak dancing at a cliff-top temple followed by a barbecue seafood dinner under the stars. In the late afternoon you will be taken to the location of the famous cliff-hanging temple at Uluwatu. Perched on the edge of a steep cliff, the temple sits 230 feet above the crashing waves of the Indonesian Ocean. The temple is inhabited by a large number of monkeys, many of whom can be found roaming the pathways.

As the sun sets over the glittering ocean, watch a dramatic Kecak dance or Ramayana Monkey Chant performance at the temple. Wearing traditional checked cloth around their waists, the male dancers chant in unison while depicting a battle from the Ramayana.

After the performance drive to one of the beautiful beaches in Jimbaran for a barbecue seafood dinner in a beach warung. Feast on a succulent seafood platter including prawns, grilled fish, squid and clams. Try some kangkung, also known as Indonesian water spinach, and add some heat in the form of sambal, the spicy Indonesian sauce.
